1. My real name is Daniel.
2. My family still calls me Danny.
3. My wife calls me Honey.
4. My children call me Daddy (or Dabby).
5. My friends and peers call me Dano.
6. I like all the above.
7. I’m 6’2″ and feel short compared to friends who are 6″1″.
8. I was born the year Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, Elvis dated Elvira (Cassandra Peterson), John Lennon was offered the role of Jesus in “Jesus Christ Superstar,” and The Temptations sang “Can’t Get Next to You.”
9. I used to be a rocketry enthusiast.
10. I despise current spelling and grammar standards.
11. I have probably typed something in this list that ironically speaks to the above item.
12. I don’t like the “Now I use a calculator” attitude.
13. I love British comedies.
14. Tom Baker was my favorite Doctor.
15. I still have boxes of Star Wars toys in my garage.
16. I can’t park any family cars in the garage because there’s too many boxes.
17. I love good, quality beer – but I rarely drink.
18. I often wear an earring.
19. I can’t wear my wedding ring as it hurts my finger when I lift weights.
20. I’m severely nostalgic for things from my childhood.
21. I love a warm, sunny, dewy, blue-skied, Summer morning more than just about anything.
22. I love a cold, sparkling, snowy, frosty Winter morning more than just about anything.
23. I’ve hardly seen grasshoppers since I was a boy.
24. I’ve seen more fireflies in the last two years than I ever have in my life.
25. I’m enjoying living childhood again through my young children more than I can ever describe.
26. I have a “thing” for redheads.
27. My wife is a redhead.
28. I only recently got a “smart phone.” It’s an iPhone.
29. I played a lot of Wizardry and Castle Wolfenstein when they first came out on the Apple ][e.
30. I don’t own any gaming console… no XBox, no Playstation, nothing.
31. The last gaming “system” I ever owned was an Atari 2600 when they first came out.
32. I’ve owned firearms since I was legally able to.
33. One of my favorite bands is Slade.
34. I loved watching Bob Ross painting and listening to him.
35. Mister Rogers creeps me out. (Sorry, but it’s true).
36. One of my favorite bands is Pretty Maids.
37. I play drums.
38. I play keyboards & piano.
39. I wish I could play guitar but it’s not a pretty sight or sound.
40. I love walking through sprinklers during hot Summers.
41. I love to jog.
42. My back troubles sometimes get in the way of #41.
43. I drink coffee every morning, but not as much as I lead people to believe or assume.
44. The Oompa Loompas freaked me out almost as much as the flying monkeys.
45. Favorite South Park episode is “Make Love not Warcraft.”
46. I used to watch Lawrence Welk and Hee Haw with my Grandmother.
47. I’ve never seen more than five minutes of Lost, Survivor, 24, or CSI and don’t care to.
48. I wore parachute pants and a Player’s Club jacket in Jr. High School (though never at the same time – that would have been stupid).
49. I often come to enjoy music or TV shows years after they were popular or canceled.
50. I miss flying toasters.
